Jeonbuk State has taken steps to train specialized personnel to raise the professionalism of childcare services and address local childcare demand.

 

The state announced on September 15 that all 48 trainees successfully completed the newly introduced "Childcare Provider Shortened Training Course," marking the first cohort since the implementation of the national childcare provider qualification system.

 

The training course ran from August 24 to September 7 at the Jeonbuk State Childcare Regional Support Center, commissioned and operated by the Industry-Academy Cooperation Foundation of Jeonbuk National University.

 

There are currently 1,258 active childcare providers across the state. To actively meet growing demand from dual-income households and eliminate waiting lists, Jeonbuk State expanded its designated training institutions from 3 to 6 locations and plans to focus all efforts on tailored workforce training in the second half of the year.

 

Lee Mi-sook, Head of the State's Women and Family Division, said, "This training is meaningful as it is the first qualified cohort produced at the state level since the national qualification system took effect. We will actively support our graduates so they can demonstrate expertise and commitment in the field, while building a robust childcare infrastructure where parents can leave their children with complete peace of mind."
