On the 10th, Jeonbuk State opened its government building fully to the public to realize the "Era of Sovereign Residents in Jeonbuk."

 

The province stated that to improve administrative accessibility for residents and realize open governance, it completed revisions to the administrative regulations on building access and fully implemented the opening starting that day.

 

This full opening reflects the province’s commitment to putting residents at the center of provincial governance, serving as a stepping stone for the provincial hall to evolve beyond a workspace for administrative operations into an open avenue for communicating with the public.

 

Previously, visitors to the provincial hall had to leave their ID cards and obtain visitor passes, drawing criticism that the process was cumbersome and the building felt somewhat closed off. In response, Governor Lee Won-taek instructed during a senior executive meeting on the 3rd to fully open the provincial hall to realize the core value of the 9th popular election, the "Era of Sovereign Residents in Jeonbuk."

 

Governor Lee Won-taek stated, "The 'Era of Sovereign Residents in Jeonbuk' that we aim for begins with small actions, such as lowering the threshold of our provincial hall." He added, "Starting with this opening, we will meticulously follow up with subsequent measures so that residents can feel in their daily lives that they are the true owners of our administration."
