"Rural Empathy Travel" is a program designed to subsidize travel expenses for urban residents staying in rural experiential villages to enjoy various activities and accommodations. It has established itself as a flagship rural tourism program in Jeonbuk State.

The benefit package offers up to a 30% discount on hands-on experience programs and up to 20% on accommodations. Notably, during peak travel seasons, a discount of up to 50% is available for weekday stays (checking in from Monday to Thursday).

Tourists wishing to participate can sign up on the online platform "Chamcham" (www.chamchamtrip.com), download coupons, and make reservations and payments. To receive the subsidy, participants must also write a review after their trip.

Min Seon-sik, Director General of the Agriculture, Bio-economy, and Livestock Industry Bureau of Jeonbuk State, said:

"Rural Empathy Travel is a program that allows urban residents to directly experience the unique charm of Jeonbuk’s countryside. We will actively support this initiative so that it provides a peaceful getaway for urbanites while leading to practical income for rural communities."
