On August 2, Jeonbuk State Fire Department (Commissioner Lee Oh-sook) hosted the ‘3rd Multicultural Family Fire Safety Experience Camp’ for 27 multicultural families in the province at the Jeonbuk State 119 Safety Experience Center in Imsil.
The camp was hosted in cooperation with the Jeonju, Jangsu, and Gochang Family Centers in the province, with a total of 100 people participating. By experiencing fire safety experiences based on real life together with their children, parents were able to enhance their family's disaster response capabilities and naturally learn about safety consciousness in their daily lives.
The experience program consisted of water safety experiences prepared for summer water accidents, and disaster safety experiences simulating earthquakes, fire evacuation, and traffic accidents. It was systematically hosted so that all participants could evenly experience all the experiences in a group rotation system.
“This camp was a significant time for multicultural families in the city to mingle together and learn the value of safety, and also to strengthen the bond between families,”said Lee O-sook, Jeonbuk State Fire Commissioner, “and in the future, we will continue to expand customized fire safety education that everyone can empathize with and practice.”
