Jeonbuk State announced on August 4th that it has opened the ‘Jeonbuk Overseas Korean Residency Support Center’ (hereinafter referred to as the Center) to assist overseas Koreans in settling stably in the region.

 

The opening of this center was initiated following Jeonbuk State's selection in April for the 'Overseas Korean Residency Support Project' competition organized by the Overseas Koreans Agency. It will be operated on a trial basis until December of this year.

 

he center is operated by the Jeonbuk International Cooperation Agency and prepares a counseling room exclusively for overseas Koreans within the "Jeonbuk Foreign Workers Support Center," located on the sixth floor of the Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It serves as a hub for residency consultations and support for settling in.

 

The center plans to provide customized services to support the stable settlement of overseas Koreans in the province, including ▲ free consultations with experts in law, labor, and administration ▲interpretation and translation services ▲ support for establishing a living foundation, such as assistance with real estate and administrative matters.

In addition, the center plans to establish official SNS (Instagram, Facebook) account to promote the main business, and regularly publish card news to introduce the migrant background and culture of foreign nationals to expand the understanding and empathy of the people of the city.

 

In addition, it plans to provide opportunities for expatriates to enhance their understanding of the region and strengthen their connections with the local community through field trips that allow them to experience the history and industry of Jeonbuk.
