Jeonbuk State is accelerating the establishment of a private sector-oriented start-up support ecosystem.

 

Jeonbuk State is actively implementing various policies to lay the groundwork for becoming a global start-up city, with the goal of realizing 'Jeonbuk as a great place for start-up .

 

In connection with ‘K-Startup Grand Challenge of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’, Jeonbuk State attracted five companies in 2023, three in 2024, and four promising overseas startups this year, expanding its contacts with local flagship industries such as alternative foods and smart farms.

 

In particular, Jeonbuk State opened "Jeonbuk Global Start-up Immigration Center" in Jeonju in March, the first case in a non-metropolitan area, and signed agreements with nine universities in the province to launch the OASIS program for foreign entrepreneurs.

 

Starting in June, Jeonbuk State plan to officially launch full-scale support for aspiring foreigners seeking to acquire the Foreign Technology Startup Visa (D-8-4), which will include startup consulting and intellectual property education.
