Jeonbuk State is expanding its international cooperation through practical diplomatic programs that encompass tourism, education, and economy.
The state announced on the 23rd that from April 22 to 23, it invited 14 diplomats from seven countries , including Laos, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, China, Pakistan, Cambodia, and Tajikistan for the "Jeonbuk-style Practical Diplomacy Program." Participants were able to directly experience the region's cultural, educational, and economic capabilities.
In Jeonbuk State, this program has expanded the foundation for diplomatic cooperation in tourism, education, and economics, and has enhanced the effectiveness of public diplomacy through collaboration with local institutions. In particular, it is evaluated that the establishment of a public-private network through cooperation with Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk National University, and the Korea Institute for Economic Development has led to effective promotion of regional competitiveness.
Jeonbuk currently has sister and friendly relations with 11 regions in five countries, including the United States, China, Japan, Vietnam, and Russia, and is actively promoting exchanges with Germany, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan. The policy is to continue to expand the practical cooperation-oriented foreign invitation program in the future.
