Jeollabuk State signed an agreement with Wonkwang University, Korea Productivity Center, and Champre Co. Ltd. on 7 July to support the employment and entrepreneurship of foreign students.

 

The main contents of the agreement include: attracting overseas talents and establishing a local employment and start-up ecosystem △ using the ODA (Official Development Assistance) programme to attract foreign students and support their employment; promoting Wonkwang University's certification as a visa-free excellent private institution △ developing training programmes for foreign students and workers to train professionals, and △ establishing a cooperation system between universities, companies, and public institutions. This will enable international students to receive tailored education linked to local industries and help them settle down after graduation.

 

In particular, Wonkwang University and Champre.Co. Ltd. will recruit a certain number of foreign students each year and operate related on-demand training courses to provide practical resident employment opportunities.

 

In addition, Jeonbuk State plans to support Wonkwang University to be certified as an excellent private institution for issuing visas. This allows international students to obtain visas more smoothly and allows them to focus on their studies and employment. This system guarantees a stable legal status to international students and provides them with opportunities to develop their careers in Jeonbuk for the long term.
