Jeollabuk-do's Vision and Strategy to Attract the Specialized Secondary Cell Complex

 

Jeollabuk-do announced its aspiration again to attract the specialized secondary cell complex without fail and construct Saemangeum as the worldly secondary core cell material supply base .

 

The secondary cell industry is appointed as one of three national high-tech strategy industries together with semiconductor and display in November, 2022. A specialized industrial complex is contested publically to construct sustentive growth base like innovative ecosystem creation.

 

Jeollabuk-do looked into the prospect of markets and technology, native and foreign, analyzed economic ripple effect such as secure of linkage with district industry etc., and mapped out vision and strategy.

 

It is prospected that the worldly market scale of the secondary cell will 8 times grow from 46.1 billion dollars in 2020 to 351.7 billion dollars in 2030 within 10 years thanks to the expanded distribution of electricity vehicle. Especially, the secondary cell holds a great growth potential, for it is prospected that the demand of secondary cell for electricity vehicle will 13 times grow from 244GWh in 2021 to 3,254GWh in 2030.
