Saemangeum Makes Progress of New Record, Attracting 3 trillion Won Investment This Year.

- LG Chem Co. Ltd., & Zhejiang Hualiu Cobalt Invests I .2 trillion won -

 

On April 19, Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency, Jeollabuk-do, Gunsan-si, and Korea Rural Community Corporation announced that they would enter into an agreement in investment for construction of 1.2 trillion won scale ‘manufacturing facilities of secondary battery materials’at LG Chem Co., Ltd & Zhejiang Hualiu Cobalt and Saemangeum National Industrial Complex.

 

LG Chem Co., Ltd and Zhejiang Hualiu Cobalt will establish a new corporation and invest 1.2 trillion won in the two stages by '28. They will break down constructing factories at the sixth area of Saemangeum Industrial Complex (338 thousand ㎡-size ) this year, and recruit 700 employees newly.

 

LG Chem Co., Ltd. established in 1947 is a representative global corporation of Korea which holds balanced businesses such as the subsidiary companies specialized in petrochemistry, advanced materials, life science, and batteries.

 

Zhejiang Hualiu Cobalt established in '02 manufactures cobalt at the most quantity and is the largest corporation in China. It accomplishes vertical systemization in battery core material from mineral mining to bulb manufacturing.
