Prime Minister Kim Min-seok attended the 'K-State Affairs Briefing' held on the 19th at Jeonbuk National University's JBNU Convention Center, where he reaffirmed the government's commitment to foster Jeonbuk as a 'testbed for future industries.' Celebrating six months since the launch of the People's Sovereign Government, this nationwide touring event saw about 500 provincial residents participate and have an opportunity to communicate directly with the government.
In his lecture, Prime Minister Kim emphasized, "Jeonbuk possesses sufficient capabilities to emerge as a hub for future industries such as agri-bio, food, and energy." He added, "The government must provide more active support to regions further away from Seoul or those experiencing slower development." He then reiterated that Jeonbuk should serve as a 'testbed for future industries' within the government's balanced growth strategy, proposing three key pillars for Jeonbuk's economic transformation through new industries: Saemangeum, Physical AI, and Green Bio.
Kim Kwan-young, Governor of Jeonbuk State, stated, "I express my profound gratitude to Prime Minister Kim Min-seok for personally visiting Jeonbuk, attentively listening to the voices of the provincial residents, and engaging in discussions regarding the direction of regional development." He added, "Moving forward, we will continue to cooperate closely with the government, doing our utmost to ensure Jeonbuk establishes itself as a central axis for balanced national development.
