Jeonbuk State is pursuing a 'agriculture-manufacturing convergence model' that differentiates physical AI from other regions. The goal is to build an integrated system that spans from agricultural machinery manufacturing to smart farm operations by taking advantage of the local characteristics of being a 97% production base for commercial vehicles in the country and a hub for the agriculture and construction machinery industry.

 

In the field of agricultural machinery, physical AI will be applied to the entire agricultural process, including autonomous movement, cultivation management, and harvesting of intelligent machines. By combining food tech centered on the agri-food manufacturing industry, it aims to complete a complete physical AI ecosystem that connects 'from the field to the table'.

 

The golden belt connecting Wanju, Gunsan, Iksan, Gimje, and Jeonju has a complete manufacturing ecosystem from parts to finished vehicles, special vehicles, agricultural machinery, and verification and demonstration, making it possible to apply physical AI throughout the entire cycle. Gunsan's self-driving commercial vehicle one-stop demonstration complex, Wanju's hydrogen product inspection and certification center, and Saemangeum's intelligent agricultural machinery demonstration complex are playing key infrastructure for accelerating commercialization.

 

Jeonbuk's physical AI initiative encompasses logistics innovations leveraging Gunsan Port and Saemangeum Port. The plan is to integrate AI into port cranes and transport vehicles to automate loading and unloading processes, and to create a smart port that utilizes digital twin technology to optimize weather and cargo volume forecasting and energy management.

 

The plan is to strengthen the global logistics competitiveness of Jeonbuk manufacturers while also utilizing it as a demonstration stage for physical AI-based logistics solutions.
