Jeonbuk State will operate a citizen evaluation panel a total of three times to directly reflect the voices of its residents and ensure fairness and transparency in the evaluation of its policy commitments.

 

The citizen evaluation panel will be operated to directly reflect the voices of citizens regarding the public commitments of the 8th democratically elected administration. The panel will evaluate the appropriateness of the commitment implementation plan and discuss any necessary adjustments.

 

The Korean Manifesto Practice Headquarters conducted preliminary training on the theme of the manifesto movement and the citizen evaluation team. Jeonbuk State explained the role and operating principles of the evaluation team through the preliminary education conducted in this practice session. Subsequently, the team was divided into five sub-groups and selected 17 public pledge projects that needed adjustment due to changes in the policy environment and financial conditions as agenda items.

 

At the second meeting, to be held on the 17th, Jeonbuk State will listen to explanations from the responsible public officials of the departments in charge of the policy projects regarding the agenda selected by each working group, followed by question and answer sessions and discussions.

 

Following this, at the 3rd meeting on October 1st, Jeonbuk State will comprehensively review and approve the results of in-depth discussions by each working group in the plenary session to finalise the final recommendations. While the principle of majority rule will be the basis of the meeting process, Jeonbuk State will prioritise transparency, reliability, and balance by, for example, separately recording minority opinions.
