On 14th, Jeonbuk State held ‘ The 17th Multicultural Harmony Festival successfully’.
About 1,000 people, including multicultural families, foreign residents, and local citizens from the province, attended the event that day and had a meaningful time blending different cultures together.
Throughout the venue, booths offering experiences with traditional costumes, games, and foods from various countries around the world were operated. Diverse programs that the whole family could enjoy together, such as ▲ traditional folk game experiences, ▲ a bubble playground, ▲ children’s puppet shows, and ▲ K-pop random play dance, were also plentifully prepared, greatly enhancing the festive atmosphere.
The cultural experience booths representing various countries such as Vietnam, China, and Cambodia provided an opportunity for local residents and multicultural families to directly experience the diversity of cultures, and they gained popularity.
Deputy Governor Noh Hong-seok of Jeonbuk State stated, "This festival was a place where we could confirm the warm values of our community, where people with different backgrounds live together respecting cultural diversity." He also added, "In the future, the province will be a positive support for multicultural families to settle and grow stably in Jeonbuk."
