Jeollabuk-do Pushes up with 『Representative Library Construction』

For the purpose of supporting systematic assistance by constructing library policy and cooperative system among libraries, Jeollabuk-do pushes up with constructing representative library, starting from contesting construction design for ‘construction project of Jeollabuk-do representative library’.

The participants in this design contest have to reflect the designs in comprehensive areas of construction, structure, civil engineering, landscape, and facilities, and also reflect outer space plan and district representative library symbol harmonious with natural circumstances and structures located at the surroundings of project sites such as energy saving. In addition, the participants have to suggest a molding plan to express artistry, creativity, and originality.

Jeollabuk-do, through this contest, expects good works to be selected so that 'Jeollabuk-do representative library' can become the most public library in and out of our country and is going to make progress of fair evaluation.

Jeollabuk-do will invest a total of project expense 49,200,000,000won for ‘Jeollabuk-do representative library’, start construction in 2022, and complete construction in 2024 in a scale of construction size 12,000㎡ at 29,400㎡ in Jeonbuk Hyeokdosi Munhwa Park lot. Jeonbuk History Record Hall, Jeonbuk Academy Material Chamber, Common Reservation Book Store, General Material Chamber, Child Material Chamber, and Comprehensive Culture Space will be established in Representative Library.
