Produce High-quality Jeonbuk Laver in a Large Scale

 

 

It is said that ’23-produced laver will be produced at the middle ten days of November for the first time. This laver is a filial product as a major farm & fishery food of Jeollabuk-do for exportation.  

 

This year, the facility size of laver breeding in Gunsan, Gochang, and Buan is 5,280ha, The breeding houses started seed collection early, for water temperature got lower compared with the same month of the last year. Now, the water temperature is appropriate to growing lavers (lower than 22°C), nutrition salt degree is stable, and sea condition is good. So, much high-quality laver will be produced.

 

Generally, the breeder collects seeds in Autumn when the temperature gets lower than 22°C, and breeds them in the winter. The breeder collects the laver bred by the end of March from November. The laver is used for food by the type of dried laver, seasoned laver etc.
