The 8th Jeonju Sori Festival will be held in Jeonju starting from Sept.26 to Oct.4 with main theme of this festival " Sori & Pleasure.", we can expect various musicians and performers from 13 different countries that show splendid performance by sharing our sori and world sori both.
Opening concert with the theme of the festival, "Sharing Sori, Adding Pleasure" will be held at outdoor stage of Sori Cultural Center on Sept.26 and various performances are prepared with famous musicians such as Gang eunil who play Haegeum (Korean fiddle), guitarist Kim dogyun, Kim deoksu Samulnori, singer Han daesu, Siya, SGwannerbe, etc.

This festival is also performing various performances especially the proud our cultural heritage, Pansori. Cheonhamyeongchangjeon, the best male performers of their days are showing the essences of the sori at Moakdang hall of Sori Cultural Center, ( 2000 seats capacity )
On Oct.1-3, traditional Pansori Program "Myeongchangga-Simcheongga will be showed at Myeongin hall. the 3 best celebrated singers from each generations are
performing Simcheongga very intensive at the same stage.
On Oct.4th, Imbangul's junior colleagues are to prepare performance and exhibition for admiring her as series of "Jakgomyeongchang".

This festival is also performing ' world origin musical instrument, origin arts with participating 560 performance teams from 13 countries and giving opportunity to enjoy various musics including recital of Dianne Reeves on Sept.27th at Yeonji Hall, Jazz orchestra of combining between East and West on Sept.30at Yeonji Hall,
Морин хуур(Morin Hhuur) - camel's tear of Mogolian National Madugeum ensemble performance team(Sept.30th at Jeonbuk Univ. Samsung cultural Hall), World classic percussion ensemble by International drummer Tommy Campbell and Han daesu( Oct.1st at Yeonji Hall) 'Soul of China' of Bejing Ming Ying Global Arts troupe(Oct.2nd).
