Jeonju Fermented Food Expo makes hustle and bustle in Jeonju
․ Visitor inquiries are in line due to unique items and hands-on experience

It has been 5 years to host Jeonju International Fermented Food Expo in Jeonju. This expo will take place for 5days, from 25th to 29th this month with a variety of events.
Under the them of "Our Fermented Food with World", IFFE set up consumers -participation policy, which get them to participate in the process to select prize -winning items firsthand and spread the excellence. IFFE will award the prize to the selected items and offer marketing support to winner companies.
Only IFFE exhibitors are qualified to bring an item to the competition with only one item per exhibitor principal. Jeollabuk-do Bio-Industry Development Institute organizes this competition. The visitors are scheduled to participate in selecting excellent items frist-hand in B2C(Business to Consumer). Ministry of Agriculture's prize, Korean Food and Drug administration Commissioner's prize and governor's prize will be awarded and awarding will take place in closing ceremony on 29th, Oct. Consumers' excellent item selection will open up new venue for fermented food industry and its trade mission. In addition, upgraded cultural events such as hands-on experience and performance will go ahead in line with the theme"our fermented food with world". Also, IFFE will stick to fermented food festival, which visitors try to make domestic and foreign fermented food, for example, hanging sowonmaeju(wish fermented soy-bean mash) and traditional Jang(bean paste) making events. The fermented food action event which is very popular to the visitors every year and OX popquiz will be still on.
Jeonju IFFE gets favorable evaluation as not only expo but festival based on unique "fermented food" item and visitors' inquires are in rush. Apart from general visitors, government agencies such as Seoul-si and Kyeongsangbuk-do, institutes, colleges are showing keen interest in IFFE. In fact, the accommodation around Jeonju are almost booked out during IFFE so inquiries about accommodation and tour program have continued to IFFE organizing team .
