Jeonbuk State has once again taken a step to reform workers' quality of life.
Jeonbuk State announced on 30th that it has determined 2025's living wage for workers who are directly hired or outsourced by provincial-funded organizations to 12,014 won, a 1.7% increase.
Living wage is a wage system determined at a level above the minimum wage, allowing workers to maintain a basic standard of living and engage in cultural activities. Jeonbuk State has consistently increased the living wage since the enactment of the living wage ordinance in 2016, taking into account the annual minimum wage increase rate, civil servant wage increase rate, consumer price index, and living price index.
‘We have been steadily increasing the living wage so that workers can enjoy a better cultural life, and I hope that this increase will improve the quality of life for district workers and have a positive impact on the district economy’ said O Taek-rim, head of Business Attraction Support Office, Jeonbuk State
