Enjoying Saemangeum flag festival on a shuttle bus ride to the fullest
Shuttle bus service from April 27th through May 6th
Saemangeum flag festival is just around corner with only one week left and a total of 100,000 people are forecasted to visit here from everywhere of the nation. There will be severe traffic jams during the festival period.
Therefore the event organization will produce shuttle service for the festival period(April 27th-May 6th) to ease the forecasted traffic jams in advance and help visitors enjoy the wonderful event to their fullest.
Jeollabukdo forecasts number of visitors will drastically increase during the event period and plans to run 80 shuttle buses and 14 stops.
The shuttle bus runs continually between Saemangeum exhibition hall and Bieung port as two ends of sea dyke's road. The provincial government is also going to set 18 temporary parking lots for 8,900 cars to park on the sea dyke's road.
The flag festival, aimed at celebrating the opening of sea wall road and attracting tourists and investors, is based on the theme, "hope, desire, and communication" and it will feature events comprising local specialties display and local genuine foods experiencing time, including flag art exhibition, world flags performance, and Taegeukgi(Korean national flag) special exhibition.
The flag festival is expected to have 200 domestic and foreign exhibition authors participating in it and about 100,000 visitors coming here to enjoy the wonderful time.
