Designated as a pilot village for farm life experiencing project
Jeonju Hanok village and Buan Hapgu village has won an honorable opportunity to be designated as a pilot farm village
Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries selected 11 villages and 10 tourist attractions, including Jeonju Hanok village and Buan Hapgu village, and announced them and the ministry is going to proudly introduce them for beautiful rural life experiencing areas at G-20 Summit Meeting to be held in Korea on this coming November.
The selected village have been well known as ones preserving authentic Korean cultures, local food specialties, and beautiful sceneries intact.
Its announcement at the big event is aimed at spreading their individual attractive value to the world and further sublimating disclosed properties of rural beauties in Korea into the world class cultural heritages, which will surely contribute to revitalizing rural areas suffering from negative facts like population decrease and opening the full-fledged era of rural area for tourist attractions.
Recruiting a group of foreigners for field experiencing and offering personal experience and introduction programs
Almost 700 houses of Hanok make its own community and visitors could experience Hanok life by themselves as well as enjoying special foods, ecology and natural beauties, history, religions, and festivals, all of which attract tourists more and more.
Buan Hapgu village offers good opportunities for visitors to enjoy both attractions of mountain and fishing villages and further local specialties like onion Gimchi and white clam help them have wonderful moment.
Naesosa temple, Saemangeum, and Byeonsanbando beach have rich tourist resources and further, the fact that it has been well known as sites to make films like "Immortal Admiral, Lee Soon-Shin" and "The king and the clown" is thought to play a key role in its selection.
