Jeonbuk State discussed a collaboration for winning the successful bid of the 2030 Summer Olympic Games

Jeonbuk State announced that the vice Governor, Choi, Byeonggwan discussed concrete collaboration plans to attract the 2036 Summer Olympic Games while he was having a discussion with Kim, Taegyun, the vice Mayor 1 for Administrative Affairs of Seoul Metropolitan City at Seoul City Hall on 27th of the last month.
This meeting was arranged to seek out strategies to prepare for upcoming international bid competition along with Seoul’s experience in bidding for the 2032 Olympic Games shared following the selection of Jeonbuk as the candidate city of the Olympic Games
The vice Governor for Administrative Affairs, Choi, Byeonggwan asked for a cooperation on the practical experience which Seoul had in the process of bidding for the 2032 Olympics, telling in this meeting that what is more important than simple data are experiences in the bidding process and know-how gained through trial and error.
Seoul city emphasized that a core is to actively make use of the prior consulting done by IOC’s Future Host Commission and respond promptly to communication channels. In particular, It shared the fact that IOC conducts a public opinion poll and others while having in-house monitoring staffs in Korea, along with the importance of the consistent IOC contact through the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korean Sports Olympic Committee(KSOC), and felt the need for the persistence of domestic buzz activities.
Kim, Taegyun, the vice Mayor 1 for Administrative Affairs of Seoul Metropolitan City took a stand to carry on continuous communication and interaction with Jeonbuk, telling that he would cooperate actively regarding to what Jeonbuk asks in future including the Stadium facility use permit.
Vice Governor, Choi, Byeonggwan, announced that he would a strategic approach based on Seoul city’s experiences in case of responding to the government’s reviews such as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism(MCST), the Ministry of Economy and Finance(MOEF) and others as well as contacting with IOC in future, telling that the cooperation with Seoul City will be a very strong foundation because this is a challenge that all of Korea needs to face together.
Jeonbuk State plans to strengthen the collaboration system with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism(MCST) and Korean Sports Olympic Committee(KSOC), along with making this meeting as an opportunity, and to push forward towards winning the 2036 Summer Olympic bid while making the collaboration framework with domestic interconnected cities concrete gradually.
