Iksan Multicultural Immigrator Plus Center enhances the life convenience of multicultural family and foreigners by giving one-stop services. Multicultural immigrator Plus Center is a one-stop service organization which enhances the service linkage among respective organizations by cooperation model. In the center, visitors can get a lot of services at one place. Jeollabuk-do gives multicultural family and foreigners increasing every year complex services for administrative assistance by cooperation among the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and the local autonomous entity. The centers are operated by Jeonju-si and Iksan-si.
Till now, the foreigners had to visit public organizations such as immigration office, employment center, multicultural family assistance center etc. respectively to get civil services such as stay permission, employment permission, consultation assistance etc. But, the established center enables foreigners to handle cooperative affairs at one places, and the foreigners will increase life convenience. At the center seven marriage immigrants work including three interpreters placed by Jeollabuk-do, which contributes to creating work places for multicultural family.
Jeollabuk-do and Iksan-si established space-combined multicultural immigrant pluscenters at the fourth story of Iksan-Station so that foreigners could use it easily and gave 8,060 persons (average 47 persons a day) the services from April 22, last year.
Governor Song Ha-jin who visited on 6th said that "The center gives consumer-centered one-stop services for foreigners to adapt to Korean society in the early period. I will make efforts so that Jeollabuk-do can be the second homeland of multicultural family and foreigners in the future."
